Some of the products I find myself using frequently haven't made their way into any of the catalogues yet. During their 25th Anniversary year-long celebration, Stampin' Up! released a lot of great tools just about every month. I'm going to try to catch you up right here. Have a coffee or tea and join me.
Circles Card Thinlits (133480) Labels Card Thinlits (133479)
Let's talk about the Circles Card Thinlits and the Labels Card Thinlits. I was a bit worried that these would be the typical "one trick ponies" that some tools wind up being. Well, these thinlits give you a lot of choices for a variety of pretty awesome cards. Not only that but you get a whole lot for your money. If the initial cost of $40.95 gives you pause, just think for a moment about everything you get for that money. You get the thinlit to cut the basic card, of course. Besides that, with the Circles set, you get another 9 pieces. These pieces are both framelits and thinlits, shapes and words. Honestly, it's a real deal with all those extras. The Labels set comes with another 8 pieces, again a combination of framelits and thinlits. You really can't lose buying either set.
Here are some samples of cards made using the Card Thinlits:
You can see that there are so many ways to use the thinlits, including the simple flip, the folded flip, the double flip---your imagination is actually your limit. Even placing the flip to the bottom instead of the top of the card makes a difference and is so easily done.
The Envelope Punch Board (133774)
Yes, you can use this punch board to make envelopes. That is the least of its capabilities, however, and it is definitely a "must-have" for crafters. At $24.95 it's very affordable.
If you've made one of those pop up cards and have some heavy duty embellishments on the front of the card as well, an envelope-style box is probably going to meet your needs and is easily made using this wonderful punch board.
Besides the obvious envelopes and box envelopes, however, there is an endless variety of cards that could easily be made. This one, for example, is perfect as a gift card holder.
