Time for silver! PCCCS #122

It's a marvellously sunny day outside and the snow is dazzling.  I decided to make a card that shines almost as much as that snow and, of course, silver was my first choice.  What could be more fun than last year's silvery Specialty Designer Series Paper and our current gorgeous Silver Foil?

I used Naturals White as my base and then added a layer of Coastal Cabana.  Then I embossed my Silver Foil with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  For the bottom of that layer I chose the pretty lattice design from the retired Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper.  To cover the join, I used my Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch to cut a piece of Coastal Cabana and then glued a piece of the 1/8" Silver Ribbon along the centre.

For the centre, I used Deco Labels Collection framelits to cut some Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White cardstock and a piece of Silver Foil.  For some of those layers I simply cut around the die-cut piece to make a thin mat.  For the cute little snowman, I turned to the Best of Snow stamp set and then used the Holiday Cheer stamp set for my sentiment.

I love the way the Frosted Finishes embellishment echoes the larger embossed snowflake, don't you?
